Plot
Summary
Based on Nickelodeon's beloved comedy series, the movie revolves around Henry Hart, who becomes a local hero in Dystopia after leaving behind his Swellview days. Just as the trappings of fame begin to weigh on him, a transformative twist unfolds with the introduction of Missy Martin, a dedicated superfan who unexpectedly turns his world upside down.[5]
Full Plot

In Swellview, scientists from the Evil Science Corp completed the manufacturing of a device known as the R.A.D.. While a group of guards was transporting it, they failed to notice a Kid Danger toy in a nearby window. The guards secured the R.A.D. inside a secret vault. However, an infiltrator disguised as Kid Danger emerged from the cart and stole the device before fleeing, pursued by numerous guards. During the chase, "Kid Danger" skillfully outmaneuvered and incapacitated the guards, successfully escaping the facility with the R.A.D. The infiltrator then revealed her identity as Missy Martin. Back at her home, Missy planned to use the R.A.D. to alter reality and bring Kid Danger back to life. Her room was adorned with newspaper clippings and murals celebrating Kid Danger's adventures and achievements. She had discovered his true identity as Henry Hart, who had saved Swellview countless times with Captain Man and his friends before his heroic sacrifice. Unbeknownst to most, Henry had faked his death and moved to Dystopia to fight crime alongside his best friend, Jasper Dunlop, who had mastered the skills of fighting in his sleep and speaking Spanish.

In Dystopia, Jasper assured Detective Jones that Henry would arrive soon, attempting to flirt with her before being interrupted by Piper Hart and Schwoz Schwartz, who greeted him warmly. The duo explained they were visiting to keep Henry company after Charlotte Page left for Harvard. Noticing Jasper's crush on Jones, Piper and Schwoz tried to help by complimenting him, though Jasper grew embarrassed. Jasper then warned them it wasn't a good time to visit, explaining that in five minutes, a truck carrying plutonium—a target for the supervillain Blackout would arrive. Blackout planned to use the plutonium to destroy Dystopia's nuclear energy core and plunge the city into a blackout. Suddenly, the lights went out, alarming civilians, and Henry left his signing event to intervene. Schwoz hacked a security camera to locate the truck in the dark, and when Blackout appeared, Jasper activated his technoband, fell asleep, and began fighting the villain.

Blackout ambushed the truck guards before fighting Jasper in an alley, eventually knocking him down. Henry used his force field to teleport to the street, receiving cheers from the crowd. When Blackout charged at him, Henry countered his attacks and hurled him through a shop window. After his victory, Henry happily hugged Piper and Schwoz before promoting Bizwatch as part of his business. In the alley, Henry helped Jasper to his feet, who called him "guey," a word Henry mistakenly thought was a bad one. The duo hurried to confront Blackout again, who tried to kill Henry, but Jasper helped him recover. Determined to end the fight alone, Henry used his force field to trap Blackout and delivered a powerful punch, sending him crashing into the Bizwatch building. When the lights came back on, Henry became distracted by his fans, while Jasper asked about the conference and, to his dismay, realized Henry appeared prominently in the photo, leaving Jasper as a blurry smudge. Jones admired Jasper for his work before asking him to take a photo of her with Henry. Frustrated, Jasper berated Henry for taking all the fame for himself and not giving him recognition, although Henry stated that he needed space since they were no longer children, while Schwoz and Piper watched the argument. Henry left Jasper to return to Bizwatch, but Jasper left in anger, ending their friendship.

Henry returned to the building, noticing that several of his posters had their eyes torn out by an enraged Blackout. Meanwhile, at home, Missy prepared the device to bring her fanfiction, "The Adventures of Kid Danger & Superfan", to life. As Blackout mocked Henry for not bringing Jasper, the villain attacked and threw him off the building. Before hitting the ground, Henry was transported to Missy’s room, now wearing an enhanced Kid Danger suit. Missy woke Henry, who, overwhelmed, stood up and questioned if he had died from the fall. Missy compared her drawing of Kid Danger to the real one and explained that he was now in Newtown, just as her younger sister, Gemma Martin, entered, threatening to tell their mom. Missy pleaded with Gemma not to, promising to return everything to normal in three days. Henry noticed Missy’s obsession with him, and she explained how the R.A.D. worked, including its ability to alter reality and resurrect him. To Missy’s shock, Henry revealed he had never actually died, admitting that his fake death traumatized many. He explained that he faked his death to start a new life in Dystopia, a revelation that thrilled Missy, who hugged him and revealed she also knew the secret identities of Charlotte and Jasper. Missy explained she brought him back to help with the rampant crime in Newtown, recalling how she and Gemma were once mugged by bullies who stole her laptop. This event sparked her desire to fight crime alongside Kid Danger to protect her city.

Despite Missy's plan, Henry gently declined her idea, insisting on returning to his life in Dystopia and asking her to use the R.A.D. to send him back. However, they witnessed a woman being mugged by Coach Cregg, a fictional villain from Missy's fanfictions who had come to life. Henry refused to intervene, but Missy persuaded him by quoting his own words from when he and Captain Man defeated the Beekeeper: "A superhero always answers the call." Reluctantly, Henry agreed to face Coach Cregg, forbidding Missy from joining due to her inexperience. Despite his confidence, Henry was repeatedly overpowered, as Missy's fanfiction had omitted his force field abilities. The fight turned against him, and Coach Cregg ultimately knocked him down and forced him to do push-ups until nightfall. Concerned, Missy warned Henry that they should leave, as her fanfiction dictated that an electric vampire would soon appear. Using the R.A.D., she knocked out Coach Cregg and tried once again to convince Henry to team up as sidekicks, but he insisted on being sent back to Dystopia. From the shadows, the electric vampire emerged, drawn to the neo-dymium crystal in the device. Trapping the duo, Henry recognized her as a variant of Piper. She threatened Henry for wanting to leave, but Missy and Henry managed to activate the R.A.D., narrowly escaping her grasp. However, in the process, Vampire Piper acquired the crystal.

Suddenly, Henry and Missy teleported to another reality in an eighties style, realizing that they were at the Shimmers nightclub in Swellview, where a variant of Frankini and his group of dancers began dancing and singing "Smile". When Henry questioned Vampire Piper's origin, Missy explained, while dancing with Frankini's group, that she had created her after the real Piper kicked her out of the Man Fans. Before Henry could respond, they noticed another variant of Piper dressed in an '80s style. Missy tried to use the R.A.D., but Henry insisted on handling it himself, only to realize, to his frustration, that the device had locked them into "story mode." Missy deduced that they would have to travel through all the stories she had created. Before they could act, they discovered they were in a fanfiction written by Gemma, where Henry was not the hero but the sidekick to a variant of Jasper. Jasper, now appearing at the party as Captain 'Stache, had the ability to fly, much to Henry's jealousy. Before they could leave, 80's Piper and Frankini interrupted Henry, trying to calm him down by handing him a stack of tacos. At first, he refused, but eventually, he relaxed thanks to the tacos. When Captain 'Stache and 80's Piper asked about their universe, Missy recapped the situation with the R.A.D., briefly throwing them into an existential crisis. Since they were in Swellview, Henry came up with the idea of finding Schwoz, who Missy admitted she hadn't included much in her stories but theorized might exist in this alternate universe. To the group's surprise, a variant of Schwoz responded from the kitchen.
Henry approached him, learning that 80's Schwoz worked at the club to avoid returning to jail after being caught stealing plutonium by Captain 'Stache and his sidekick. Henry managed to convince 80's Schwoz to inspect the R.A.D., but before they could proceed, Coach Cregg reappeared and confronted Captain 'Stache, ultimately defeating him. Henry refused to help Captain 'Stache, but Missy handed him a soda to drink and put on his sidekick suit. Despite his constant refusals, Missy, 80's Schwoz, and 80's Piper started chanting to convince him, which eventually led Henry to drink the soda. This caused him to don a ridiculous suit and wield a lollipop as a weapon. He used it to strike Coach Cregg and prevent him from cutting Captain 'Stache's mustache, though the lollipop broke on impact. After Henry was knocked down, Captain 'Stache took the opportunity to defeat and humiliate Coach Cregg, throwing him out of the club. Following the battle, Henry felt down and headed to the kitchen, where Missy threw him a chocolate star to cheer him up, telling him that he had inspired her to try becoming a vigilante, which forged a bond between them. Henry shared that, in the real world, he treated Jasper like his shadow, much like Captain 'Stache. 80's Schwoz explained that the device would transport them through one reality after another unless they had the crystal to exit "story mode."

Just then, Frankini appeared and invited everyone to dance, but Henry argued with him to fix the device immediately. This led to a chaotic struggle between Henry and Missy, who tried to fix the R.A.D., but they accidentally teleported again. The three of them briefly traveled to a reality where they were animated characters, with Frankini transformed into a uni-cow, before returning to Newtown. Frankini complained about not being in Shimmers, even though Henry and Missy had previously warned him not to touch the R.A.D. Henry then realized they needed to find the crystal 80's Schwoz had mentioned, while Frankini continued asking them to fix everything so he could return to his party. Missy told Henry that part of her story involved Vampire Piper kidnapping Gemma, and they noticed her appear wearing the crystal as a necklace, accompanied by Coach Cregg. Before Vampire Piper could attack, Frankini distracted her, allowing Henry and Missy to hide in a van, but he was bitten and turned into a vampire. In the van, Henry and Missy realized that if they didn't find the crystal, they would be stuck in the fanfiction forever. Just as they were cornered by the trio of villains, Henry and Missy managed to escape once again.

Henry and Missy traveled to a post-apocalyptic reality, where a variant of Jasper saved Henry from a falling rock and led them to a fortress, only to be cornered by a trio of Canadian Mounties riding human steeds. The Mounties demanded the acquisition of maple syrup as their primary supply. Missy explained that the world had become a survival situation where maple syrup was the main commodity. As Henry and Missy searched for a way back, Post-Apocalyptic Jasper continued protecting Henry from rocks and arrows, inviting the duo to join the fight against the Mounties. Missy recapped the situation, and Henry told her that the real Jasper had always been the one to save him in the real world. Post-Apocalyptic Jasper suggested they retreat to find the Schwoz of this reality, but Henry decided to help his friend's variant in order to stop the Mounties. They followed Missy’s plan to set an ambush. When they opened the fortress doors, the Mounties passed by, and Henry and Post-Apocalyptic Jasper ambushed them, landing strikes to their groins, knocking them down, while Missy used maple syrup to make them slip and crash into a container. Henry and Post-Apocalyptic Jasper reconciled their friendship and celebrated their victory before meeting up with Missy. Just as they were about to join her, the Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz appeared, much to Henry's delight.

Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz explained that they needed the crystal to restore everything to normal, an explanation that Post-Apocalyptic Jasper understood. Missy blamed herself for the mess, calling her fanfics "stupid," despite Henry reassuring her that it wasn't her fault. He comforted her, saying that he had felt the same way before, believing everything was his fault, and encouraged her to fix the chaos. Determined, Henry decided to return with Missy and their newest friends to Newtown to retrieve the crystal from Vampire Piper and place it into the R.A.D. to repair the reality. When they activated the device, Henry, Missy, Post-Apocalyptic Jasper, and Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz briefly traveled to the cartoon world before returning to Newtown. Back in Newtown, the team discovered that Vampire Piper and her henchmen had captured Gemma as a hostage. She ordered the Coach Cregg and Fangkini to retrieve the R.A.D. Coach Cregg briefly incapacitated the team with his loud whistle while facing off against Henry, with Post-Apocalyptic Jasper battling Fangkini and Schwoz protecting the device. As Missy stealthily entered the house, Henry decided to go after her, leaving Post-Apocalyptic Jasper to take on the two villains, but he was stunned by the Coach Cregg's whistle. Inside the house, Henry argued with Missy for going in alone before confronting Vampire Piper, who knocked Missy down and fought Henry throughout the house. Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz managed to create airpods to block the coach's whistle, defeating him before going after the R.A.D.
Stunned by the fight, Henry was about to be attacked by Vampire Piper when Missy sacrificed herself, allowing herself to be bitten to give Henry the crystal and urged him to take it to Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz. Quickly, Henry fled the house with the crystal until he was stopped by Vampire Piper. In a desperate move, he threw the crystal to Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz while he and Post-Apocalyptic Jasper bought time, briefly fighting against Vampire Piper and her team. However, Vampire Piper summoned an army of vampires, and Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz prepared to fight them to protect Henry. Successfully, Post-Apocalyptic Schwoz inserted the diamond into the R.A.D. and reset it, causing the villains to disappear. After exiting the story mode, Henry returned to Dystopia, where he was pushed into the sea by Blackout. Missy returned home, happily embracing Gemma but feeling sad that the action had ended. Meanwhile, Frankini was returned to Shimmers and restored to normal, continuing to sing "Smile." Henry emerged from the river, noticing that the Bizwatch clock had been destroyed and reflecting on his new understanding of letting go of fame. He threw it away and headed to a restaurant, where he gave Jasper the chocolate star, sincerely apologizing for his behavior. They repaired their friendship. When Blackout returned once again, Henry and Jasper confronted him together. This time, Henry used his force field to block Blackout, allowing Jasper to fight him, and together they defeated him once and for all. Jasper tried to return his vest to Henry, but Henry told him to keep it. Meanwhile, Jones took a selfie with Jasper and invited him out, which he accepted as the civilians cheered.
Henry allowed Jasper to have his moment of glory and smiled at Schwoz and Piper, thanking her for not being a vampire, much to her confusion. Finishing his work on Dystopia, Henry decided to move to Newtown. In Newtown Park, Missy was writing a new fanfic on her laptop when the two bullies tried to steal it again. However, Henry appeared and stopped the thieves, sharing a happy hug with Missy and introducing her to the real Jasper and Schwoz. Henry invited Missy to be his sidekick to fight crime, a title Missy gladly accepted while joking with Henry about Jasper’s fictional ability to fly. Henry shook Missy's hand and, along with her, Jasper, and Schwoz, flew toward their new headquarters using his force field, though Missy asked to go back to grab her laptop. After their adventure, Henry placed a picture of himself as Kid Danger and Missy as Superfan on her mural. During a mission, Henry and Superfan headed to a warehouse where laser blasts were being fired at drones. They discovered it was Captain Man fighting the drones, and he expressed his joy at seeing Henry again, introducing himself to Superfan. After destroying the last drone, Captain Man asked for Henry's help with a dangerous mission, a request Henry happily accepted.
